Autumn Term 2018

Welcome back to another school year! Our topic this term is ' Charles Dickens - who was he and why was he important to Britain?'
We will be finding out all about life in Victorian times and listening to stories such as Oliver Twist.

We had a lovely school trip to Morwellham Quay. We found out about the copper that was mined there, went to Victorian school, found out about daily life in Victorian times and went in the mine on a train! We had a brilliant day and learnt so much.
Have a look at our fantastic dioramas which show scenes from Oliver Twist and Scrooge. We worked in small teams to plan what each person would do. We had to listen to the oldest person in our group as they were the boss! We are thrilled with the finished results which are now displayed all around the school.
